What if you don't like how the changes we've made affect your use of the Internet? You can easily reset any changes we make to the defaults by pressing the "Default Level" button for any particular zone on the "Security" tab of the "Internet Options" dialog.

As we increase Internet Explorer's security settings we may also decrease what you can do, see or hear while visiting a Web site. It is possible that certain features simply may not work while you visit some Web sites. Many of the things that won't work with stricter security settings are often not that important. Web sites where you shop, bank or pay bills should be added to the "Trusted Sites" zone. The settings we've assigned to the Trusted Sites zone should allow most Web sites to work perfectly.

Let's add a Web site and its address to the "Trusted Sites" zone. As I mentioned earlier Web sites where you shop, bank or pay bills should be added to the "Trusted Sites" zone. Let's begin by clicking:
  • "Tools" on the menu bar
  • then "Internet Options..."
Internet options

Click the:

  • "Security" tab then
  • "Trusted Sites" icon (green ball) to highlight it
  • "Sites..." button
Internet options dialog
